Initiating and Sustaining Constructive Relationships

Stakeholder consultation is a process by which an organization welcomes people who may be affected by the decisions it makes, an opportunity to provide feedback on its decisions and processes. It involves initiating and sustaining constructive relationships over time. The College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) welcomes your participation by inviting you to provide feedback on the following issue(s):

Do you see a dental hygienist for oral care?

The College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario’s mandate is to ensure that all Registered Dental Hygienists are competent to practise. In order to do that, the College:

  • Confirms that professionals have met specific requirements before they register to practise in Ontario.
  • Develops and updates the rules that every member of that profession must follow (standards for the profession) in order to ensure safe, ethical care for all Ontarians.
  • Helps dental hygienists stay current and grow their skills – and confirms their knowledge – through quality assurance and continuing education programs.
  • Addresses public concerns about a professional’s conduct or practice, and conducts investigations or hearings into complaints.

In this survey we want to hear your ideas about safe, ethical and quality dental hygiene service. We will use the data collected to ensure that the work of the College reflects the values of the public.

Thank you for your participation. Completing the survey should only take about 10 minutes. Please respond by August 15, 2019.
