Three candidates were elected by acclamation: Evie Jesin and Pauline Leroux in district 4, and Ilga St. Onge (past Council member who completed her 9-year term 3 years ago) in district 8. Jenny Gibson was successfully re-elected in District 7. 
The College congratulates them as they begin a three-year term starting in January 2019.

The term of office for these electoral positions will be 3 years, from January 2019 to December 2021.

Why Get Involved?
Members of Council and committees make decisions that are in the public interest and further the College’s mandate of regulating the practice of dental hygiene in the interest of the overall health and safety of the public of Ontario. By participating in the election, either as a candidate
or through voting, you are influencing the future of dental hygiene practice and regulation in Ontario.  By standing for election/selection, registrants have the opportunity to join a committed group of dental hygienists and government-appointed public members on Council who work together to safeguard the public interest and to uphold the standard of care that dental hygienists provide to
their clients.
