Annual Online renewals for Certificates of Registration start mid-November.
The Certificate of Registration renewal fee of $400 (or $200 for Inactive) (effective for 2017 renewal), is due on or before January 1st. A $100 late penalty fee is charged for renewals that have not been received by the deadline.
A certificate of registration that is not renewed will be suspended and if not reinstated within two years, the certificate will be revoked. Once a certificate has been revoked, this will be indicated permanently on the public register, and will be published in the College publication, Milestones.
To reinstate a certificate of registration (Active/Inactive) or to resign, please follow the appropriate links on the self-service portal.
As a reminder, it is illegal to practise dental hygiene in Ontario with a certificate of registration that is suspended or revoked. For further information, please refer to the CDHO website at Ontario Legislation and CDHO By-Laws.
