Please see below for a message from the Federation of Dental Hygiene Regulators of Canada.
In November 2021, the Federation of Dental Hygiene Regulators of Canada (FDHRC) published the Entry-to-Practice Canadian Competencies for Dental Hygienists. The FDHRC is currently working to update its assessments (including the National Dental Hygiene Certification Examination [NDHCE], Canadian Performance Examination in Dental Hygiene [CPEDH] and Substantial Equivalency Assessment for graduates of non-accredited programs) to reflect the new competencies. A key step in this process is a survey of Registered Dental Hygienists in Canada regarding the criticality and frequency of each competency. (Criticality refers to how relevant or important the competency is and frequency refers to how often an entry-level Dental Hygienist would typically have to perform the competency in their practice.) This is a key step to ensuring that our assessments remain valid and reliable.
This survey is a critical component of the assessment development process, and your input is important. To meet our own mandate, we are asking that you electronically complete and submit the survey by the deadline of December 15, 2024.
The survey must be completed in one sitting and cannot be saved and returned to at a later date or time. To ensure that the results are valid, only one survey per RDH/individual is permitted. The survey should take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
The survey can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2024fdhrcsurvey
In recognition of the time and effort required for the survey, we will be randomly drawing the names of five (5) individuals to receive a $100 Amazon gift card. Submission of your email address is voluntary and will only be used for the purpose of the draw. Your responses will not be associated with your email address. Meazure Learning will conduct the draw and provide the FDHRC with the five winning email addresses only.
Thank-you in advance for your collaboration,
FDHRC
