CDHO is seeking RDHs interested in serving as peer mentors for remediation purposes within the Quality Assurance (QA) Program.

Mentoring within the QA Program supports RDHs with identified areas for improvement and who require further guidance and support. As a mentor, your role is to help the RDH apply the knowledge and principles learned through remediation resources.

To be a Peer Mentor, you must:

• be registered in good standing with CDHO.
• have a minimum of five (5) years’ clinical experience treating clients (and still be involved in clinical practice).
• not be a QA Assessor, Peer Coach, Facilitator Coach, or member of Council or the QA Committee.

As a Peer Mentor, you will:

• identify, through co-discovery, the needs of the mentee.
• develop a plan with the mentee that will establish learning objectives, resources, communication strategies and evaluation of learning outcomes.
• facilitate learning opportunities and advise the mentee of appropriate resources.
• give insight, advice, encouragement and support as needed.
• assess the mentee’s progress and submit written reports to the QA Committee as required.
