CDHO is very pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Keisha Simpson to the position of Strategy Lead, Equity and Inclusion.
Supporting the College’s commitment to equity and inclusion in all its work, Keisha will be responsible for shaping and executing strategies that foster an inclusive and equitable environment within CDHO and among the profession. Working with Council, Keisha will lead and support the development, implementation and assessment of policies, programs and initiatives that support equity and inclusion, ensuring that the public, Registered Dental Hygienists and CDHO staff are engaged and empowered in a culturally competent, respectful, and fair manner.
Keisha, who also currently serves as the College’s Manager of Registration, has a background in sociology and social work and believes that systemic change will create more inclusive and fair opportunities. Keisha has held several leadership positions with three health profession regulatory colleges, where she has worked to ensure that registration processes are transparent, objective, impartial and fair. CDHO is thrilled to have Keisha assume this very important role, and we look forward to supporting her in this capacity as we advance our commitment to equity and inclusion.
