All RDHs in clinical practice are required to maintain current CPR at the basic life support level of certification, and training must include a hands-on component covering:
- Basic life support-level CPR for adults, children and infants (one- and two-rescuer)
- Foreign-body airway obstruction relief for adults, children and infants
- Automatic external defibrillator (AED) use
- Bag-valve mask ventilation (BVM) / Ambu-bag use
Please note that online-only CPR courses are not accepted. Certificates with a stated expiry remain valid until that date, while certificates without an expiry are valid for one year from the course date.
