CDHO is pleased to announce the appointment of Paula Benbow, MPH, EdD, RDH to the position of Director, Policy and Strategic Initiatives. Paula joins CDHO from her previous position as Academic Chair, School of Health Studies, Algonquin College where she also served as Professor, Dental Programs. Paula has extensive experience in policy development and organizational strategic plan development and implementation from her work with the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association. Paula also brings insight into the practice of Dental Hygiene informed from her work as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Public Health and private practice sectors. She is an accomplished researcher and author of numerous peer-reviewed publications. As Director, Policy and Strategic Initiatives, Paula will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for leading the development and implementation of regulatory policy and execution of strategic initiatives that reflect the College’s commitment to public protection, health equity, and reconciliation.
