Measles in Ontario

Due to an increase in Measles activity globally, Ontario is seeing more cases of Measles. Measles is a serious respiratory infection that is highly contagious. Individuals with Measles spread the virus by coughing or sneezing and are considered contagious up to four days before exhibiting symptoms.

Public Health Ontario is reminding all healthcare providers, including RDHs, to remain vigilant for signs and symptoms of Measles.
