We’re excited to introduce our latest e-learning module on Trauma- and Violence-Informed Care (TVIC) (also available in French). This initiative is part of our continued effort to modernize the Quality Assurance Program and support the continuing competence and professional development of RDHs.
This module explores the effects of trauma, offers guidance on providing TVIC, and highlights why TVIC is essential for building trust and creating a safe environment for clients and staff. At the end of the module, RDHs are provided with a set of reflection questions. While not mandatory, this module can count towards your QA requirements.
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our previous modules on Consent and Confidentiality and Privacy, designed to further improve your knowledge and build confidence in practice.
We’re continuing to develop more learning modules, so stay tuned for updates! If you have any questions about trauma- and violence-informed care, please contact advice@cdho.org or call 1-800-268-2346 (press 2).
