Save the Date – CPD opportunity – Webinar on Intimate Partner Violence

CDHO is collaborating with several Ontario health regulatory colleges to provide educational resources and learning opportunities on intimate partner violence (IPV) and its associated harms. 

Join us for a free, virtual panel discussion featuring subject matter experts who will share insights on recognizing risk factors, responding appropriately in professional practice, and supporting individuals affected by intimate partner violence.

This session supports recommendations from the 2022-2023 Domestic Violence Death Review Committee Annual Report and will explore: 

  • The role of regulated health professionals in preventing IPV and its associated harms 
  • Key IPV risk factors, including aging; substance use; declining physical, cognitive, and mental health; family dynamics; and access to firearms 
  • Approaches to IPV risk assessment in health care settings 
  • Reporting considerations and relevant privacy obligations
