CALL FOR CASE WRITERS AND CASE REVIEWERS
We’re looking for RDHs interested in contributing to the development of a new Peer Circle designed for recent graduates! We are seeking case writers and case reviewers to work collaboratively with a consultant to develop and review cases that will support new registrants as they transition into practice.
We’re looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, thoughtful and committed to supporting the profession. To be eligible, you must:
- Have graduated and registered within the last five years
- Be currently practising dental hygiene in Ontario
- Be in good standing with CDHO (i.e., not currently subject to any disciplinary or incapacity proceedings)
Please note that members of CDHO’s Council or committees, and individuals currently serving as Quality Assurance peer coaches or facilitators, are not eligible to participate as case writers or reviewers.
We encourage you to consider participating in this exciting opportunity! Interested applicants can apply by completing a brief survey, which will help us assemble a team that reflects the diversity of RDHs across Ontario. If you are interested, please complete the survey by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 3.
HELP REVIEW AND UPDATE THE QA TEST!
As part of our efforts to modernize the Quality Assurance Program, we’re beginning to review and update questions used on the Quality Assurance written assessment (QA Test). RDHs who are selected or volunteer for assessment complete the QA Test if they choose Paths 2 or 3.
We are seeking RDHs to help write and review exam questions and to help decide benchmarks or the level of difficulty for each question. We encourage applications from RDHs in a variety of practice areas and who have at least three years of practice experience. Please note that there are a limited number of spots available. While we sincerely appreciate the interest and expertise of RDHs, not all applicants will be selected. We aim to ensure a balanced and representative group of SMEs.
If you are interested in participating, please complete the expression of interest form by Friday, July 10.
Selected participants will be contacted with further details regarding timelines, expectations and training.
Thank you in advance for your interest in contributing to this important work!
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE LEADERS
We are seeking additional community leaders for the Restorative, Orthodontic and Public Health Communities of Practice (CoPs).
Community leaders are experienced RDHs with at least five years’ experience in the relevant area of practice (restorative, ortho or public health) who support these communities by engaging in discussions, sharing insights and responding to questions.
This is a volunteer role. Leaders are expected to check the forum once or twice per week to review and respond to posted discussions. Training will be provided, and time spent in the CoP may count toward Quality Assurance learning hours.
If you’re interested or if you have questions, get in touch with us at qualityassurance@cdho.org.
