The new Self-Service Portal is back online. We apologize for the inconvenience this downtime caused. RDHs who received an email invitation to sign up can proceed to follow the instructions in the email to create their new username and password. Please do not click the “Sign up now” link on the new Self-Service Portal landing page; please use the link in the sign up email you received and follow those instructions.
These emails are being sent in smaller batches to avoid a system slowdown; therefore, not all RDHs will receive the email at the same time.
If you have not received your email invitation by March 7, please:
- Ensure that you are using the correct email address on file with CDHO. If you need to verify or update your email address, please contact registration@cdho.org
- Check your junk/spam folder

Self-Service Portal FAQs
What services can I access on the Self-Service Portal?
On the Self-Service Portal you can:
- Update your contact information (i.e., email, telephone number, business and home addresses)
- Update your preferred (“known as”) name as it appears on Find a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Update your languages of service
- Access your payment receipts (e.g., annual fee receipts, tax receipt)
- Pay any outstanding CDHO fees or invoices
- Apply to reinstate or upgrade your Certificate of Registration
- Renew your Certificate during the annual renewal period
- Resign your Certificate
- Access the SMILE Portal, Communities of Practice, the Drug Examination and courses like The Path
How can I update my address and contact information?
Log in to the Self-Service Portal and click your name in the top right corner and then click “Profile”. To update your address, including telephone number, go to the “Address Information” section and:
- Click on “Add Address” to add a new address
- Click on the down arrow next to an existing address to edit or delete the address
- Please note that you can only edit, not delete, your home address
To update your primary email address, go to the “Email Address” section and click on “Update your email address”. Please note that this will change the email address you use to log in to the Self-Service Portal.
How can I change my name?
From the Self-Service Portal you can only change your preferred (“known as”) name. This name appears on Find a Registered Dental Hygienist in addition to your full legal name. If you wish to change your legal name, please contact registration@cdho.org with evidence of your name change (e.g., marriage certificate).
To change your preferred name, log in to the Self-Service Portal and click your name in the top right corner and then click “Profile”.
Where can I find receipts for payments?
Log in to the Self-Service Portal and click on your name in the top right corner and then click “Payments”. Receipts for past payments will appear here.
I no longer have access to my email account. What should I do?
Please contact registration@cdho.org to update your email address on file with CDHO. You will need to update your login and password for the Self-Service Portal using your updated email address.
I forgot my password. How can I reset it?
Use the “Forgot your password?” link on the Self-Service Portal login page. Please note that CDHO staff cannot reset your password; you must reset it using the password reset link.
Are wallet certificates still available?
Due to instances of illegal practice using forged documents, CDHO no longer offers wallet certificates. RDHs, employers and the public can confirm that an RDH is registered by checking Find a Registered Dental Hygienist.
