The Self-Assessment Tool provides a framework through which RDHs can reflect on their practice, personal knowledge base, and risks to competence. With this information and the Self-Assessment tool, RDHs can identify targeted learning goals that will inform their continuing professional development activities for the coming year.
The Tool consists of a series of questions. Suggested learning goals are generated based on responses to the questions and RDHs can use these suggested learning goals (or self-generated goals) to establish their continuing professional development plan for the coming year. For more information, view the Guidelines for Continuing Competency.
All RDHs (Active, Inactive or otherwise not practising) are required to complete the Self-Assessment annually. The Self-Assessment period begins in November and completed self-assessments are due by January 31.
