Over the last year, Registered Dental Hygienists (RDHs) have been participating in the development of peer circles as a new professional development opportunity for the profession. We began the development of peer circles in 2022 with Phase 1 when we brought together a group of 20 RDHs to begin drafting cases that will serve as the focus for the group discussions.
Phase 2 of the Project Development consisted of a two-day workshop this past March to train the Facilitators.
We are now entering Phase 3 – Pilot testing, which will be completed over three sessions, with one weekend, one weekday and one weeknight available.Two sessions will be offered in-person in Toronto and one online for those who are unable to travel.

*These sessions will be filmed, and participants will be asked to sign a waiver.

The link will close at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16.You will receive a two-hour honorarium for your participation and the CDHO will also cover all travel expenses and accommodations for those attending the in-person sessions. We will contact selected participants by email within about a week of the survey closing. Please note that members of the CDHO Council or a CDHO committee, or individuals who currently serve as Quality Assurance peer assessors, facilitators or case writers, are not eligible to participate in the pilot testing.
We recognize that there is likely to be a lot of interest. Participants will be selected to ensure broad geographic and demographic representation from the profession. We will prioritize filling the available sessions with as many of you as we can.
